Carpenter Marty Transportation is honored to receive the 2016 WTS Columbus Employer of the Year award.  WTS is an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women.

Carpenter Marty Transportation has been a corporate sponsor of the WTS Columbus chapter since the company was founded in 2013 and fully supports the mission of WTS to recruit, retain, and advance women in transportation. In 2015, 40% of Carpenter Marty Transportation new hires were women. Carpenter Marty Transportation currently employs a total of twenty-seven people, 19% of which are women.  Several of these employees have been with Carpenter Marty since its founding. 80% of the female employees on staff with Carpenter Marty Transportation maintain active membership with WTS Columbus, and all of these staff members participate on a WTS Columbus committee.

Carpenter Marty Transportation fully supports the advancement of women in transportation by promoting event attendance, sponsorship, and making all available training opportunities open to our staff.  Our WTS members took advantage of more than ten training courses, more than fifteen conferences and events, and participated in more than five separate volunteer activities throughout the year.  We even participated in the international #ILookLikeAnEngineer viral phenomena.
