State Street Residences

This project involved the development of a public roadway extension with private housing. The project turned a single owner, 30 acre lot into a public road extension with private developments on each side of the new road. Single family homes were constructed on the south side of the road, and apartments/condominiums were developed on the north side of the new road. The project included installation of new sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water line, electric duct bank, lighting, roadway, sidewalk, curb/gutter, landscaping, and signal work. There was also significant earthwork involved. Carpenter Marty Transportation was tasked with inspection of the whole project, with exception to the construction of the private housing. Carpenter Marty Transportation was responsible for inspecting the public improvements within the public right-of-way, improvements for the private lots during construction, coordination at the site, and approval of the work installed.

Carpenter Marty Transportation was on site for the installation of all public utilities and also regularly coordinated with the contractor to diagnose and solve problems that occurred during construction. When issues were encountered during construction, solutions were brainstormed with the contractor and coordinated with the City to address the issues. Additionally, Carpenter Marty Transportation was responsible for inspection of the roadway extension. This included inspection of the subbase, asphalt, curbs, and sidewalks. We coordinated with the testing subconsultant to ensure all tests were passed.
