Ohio State Representative Cheryl Grossman serves as the Finance Subcommittee on Transportation Chairperson in the Ohio House of Representatives.  As part of Ms. Grossman’s agenda, she has created a Transportation Funding Workgroup. Carpenter Marty Transportation’s Kevin Carpenter has been invited to participate in the group as a representative of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

“Ohio State Representative Cheryl Grossman (R-13) convened a second meeting of her Transportation Funding Workgroup. Bringing together a cross-section of industry and consumers, ASCE’s representative at the table was Kevin Carpenter, P.E., M.ASCE. This meeting focused on the current state of the industry, trends across the state and country affecting infrastructure and potential solutions to the current funding issues. Among the topics covered were the state’s long-range transportation plan Access Ohio 2040, the lack of funding for transit and pedestrian options, and the burden placed on local governments to find matching funds for maintenance programs.”
