Looking back on my year of working at Carpenter Marty, I am so grateful for all the wonderful experiences I’ve had and how much I have grown working here. On the first day when I was told to stare at this grainy traffic video and write down when I saw a bike. I was wondering what I had gotten myself into. Since then I have had no regrets working for such a great company and meeting so many great people! Everyone was always willing to answer any questions I had, and every day I learned something new. Even if someone was pressed for time, they always made sure I was busy and felt like I was contributing to the company.
I loved getting to know everyone during work and at lunch and seeing a glimpse of what life will be like outside of college. The traffic group always made me feel like I was an important part of the team, and I got to be directly involved in so many of their different projects throughout the year. Everyone really cares about each other here; they always greet you with a smile and want to know what’s going on in your life. I loved how the atmosphere was always relaxed and fun, and I was always trying not to laugh at everything going on around the office. I had such a great time at Fun-Loving Fridays, happy hours, eating doughnuts and volunteering at the food pantry.
I loved working here, and I grew so much professionally and personally. Thank you to everyone who answered my questions, took the time to get to know me, or showed me something new. I am thankful for every interaction I had, and I will miss all of you so much. This job has set a high bar for anywhere else I may work in the future. Thank you and I hope to see everyone soon!
