Construction Inspection

These projects involved the development of new bridge culverts underneath two city streets in Gahanna. Carpenter Marty Transportation was responsible for inspection of the construction of the new structures. This included demolition, excavation, foundation work, precast structures, roadway embankment, paving, sidewalks, curbs, fencing/rails, water line, and earthwork. Carpenter Marty Transportation was on site for all the work included with the construction. Carpenter Marty Transportation also regularly coordinated with the contractor to diagnose and solve problems that occurred during construction. Our on-site inspector coordinated with the testing laboratory to assure all tests were passed. Other responsibilities included coordination with the City, approving field testing on utilities, daily reports, attending meetings, checking punchlist items, and paying for quantities.
