Carpenter Marty Transportation completed this project as a subconsultant to Black & Veatch. The project involved extending Snyder Street from Snyder Park Drive to Park Street and installing a new 130’ truss bridge over Buck Creek. The truss bridge contained a pedestrian walkway separate from vehicular traffic. The single span bridge is supported by concrete abutments with drilled shafts and steel piling. Carpenter Marty Transportation coordinated with the truss fabricator and installer to ensure the abutment geometry and design were adequate for the bridge. US Bridge and Carpenter Marty Transportation worked together to design and fabricate a pedestrian railing that matched an adjacent historic bridge.  Improvements also included the realignment of waterline and storm sewer facilities, and the partial removal of the Buck Creek Levee. Carpenter Marty Transportation provided existing conditions surveys for the entire interceptor alignment, as well as exhibits and legal descriptions for all right-of-way acquisition.
