John Gallagher, Carpenter Marty Transportation’s Director of Traffic and Planning Services, is set to speak at the ASCE 2015 Spring Seminar on May 13, 2015. This year’s topic will focus on Modern Roundabout Design and Construction.
Mr. Gallagher has extensive experience in roundabout geometrics and preliminary design. He learned from the best in the modern roundabout industry from NYDOT, Kansas State University, and the City of Carmel, Indiana. He has designed preliminary geometrics/layouts for more than twenty-five roundabouts. Many have been built, are in the planning/design phase, or are being considered in alternative analyses. Mr. Gallagher has developed roundabout geometrics for interstate interchanges, high-speed rural routes, urban arterials, developments, etc. He has the coveted ability to quickly layout several preliminary roundabout alternatives to determine right-of-way, utility, and other impacts so those can be minimized.
The ASCE 2015 Spring Seminar is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza located in Dublin, Ohio. Early bird registration is currently open. More information and registration instructions can be found on the Central Ohio Section of ASCE’s website.
