New Albany Technology Manufacturing District Traffic Study

Carpenter Marty Transportation completed the traffic study for the New Albany Technology Manufacturing District in New Albany, Ohio. This study was driven by the Intel development, a 9.5 million square foot industrial park and more than 1,000 acres of land. Carpenter Marty Transportation worked with Intel, the City of New Albany, and the New Albany Company to develop trip generation estimates based on other Intel sites and the unique arrival/departure schedules of employees.

Traffic projections were also developed for all undeveloped parcels within the district for a 2045 horizon year so that public roadway infrastructure could be planned for the Intel development and other accessory developments. A total of 23 public road intersections and nine Intel access points were evaluated. Carpenter Marty Transportation provided intersection control, lane configuration, and cross section recommendations for the study network which were then utilized for detailed design.
