INSPECTION
Construction inspection and administration is a crucial aspect of any project, playing an important role in ensuring the adherence to design specifications and plans, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Carpenter Marty Transportation is an engineering firm heavily focused on infrastructure, which allows us to provide concise and timely solutions during the construction process. A comprehensive construction inspection and administration program helps ensure the quality of projects and helps the contractors, engineers, and clients work together. We have a knowledgeable staff that includes professional engineers, surveyors, and other support staff to assist with your construction inspection needs.
CM has partnered with state agencies, municipalities, counties, private developers, park and recreation departments, and assisted other consulting firms for more than 20+ years. Carpenter Marty Transportation has overseen the construction of public improvements such as roadway work, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, traffic control, signing, slope protection, water lines, and other features within the public right-of-way. We are responsible for continuous coordination between contractor and client, construction plan conformity, as-built plans, and tasks in the field such as concrete testing, notes, calculations, measurements, and photographs. Our inspectors are available to be on-site on a full-time basis throughout the construction process to ensure compliance.
In addition to construction inspection, we preform a variety of structural inspections, encompassing a wide range of structure types. This includes the examination and rating of all types of bridges, culverts, walls, and other components of structures. Structural inspections aim to assess the integrity and performance of these structures, identifying signs of wear, damage, or potential weakness. These inspections allow time to address any future issues or quickly attend to current issues. Our bridge design team can also assist in providing recommendations and remedy improvement plans as needed.
We also perform various field inspection services such as pavement rating and conditions assessments, guardrail inventories and inspections, existing condition assessments, data collection, and sign evaluations and inventories. Having a wide range of field inspection experience allows us to properly address any issues or projects out clients may have.
Our Team is proficient in many relevant software and tools including AssetWise, ESRI/ArchGIS, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, SignCAD, GuideSIGN, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam Revu. Our staff frequently reviews the latest trends and available programs upon their release to determine the best option suitable for providing our clients with the highest quality services.
