A large undeveloped piece of property, approximately 75 acres in size, is proposed to be annexed into the City of Canal Winchester and developed as industrial warehouse/distribution space. The proposed development is expected to be nearly 800,000 square feet in size. Carpenter Marty Transportation prepared traffic analysis and a traffic impact study for the proposed development. The study had a larger than typical study area and included several signalized intersections along high-volume Gender Road. Carpenter Marty Transportation was required to evaluate signal progression in the area with two signalized intersections being less than 200' apart. All analysis, conclusions, and recommendations were documented in an impact study prepared by Carpenter Marty Transportation. Additionally, Carpenter Marty Transportation has been present at all planning commission and city council hearings to address additional concerns raised by stakeholders.
