Carpenter Marty Transportation’s own John Gallagher and Kristin Studabaker were honored at the WTS Columbus Annual Awards event. John Gallagher received the Man of the Year award. Kristin Studabaker received the Member of the Year award.

2019 WTS Columbus Man of the Year

The WTS Honorable Ray Lahood (Man of the Year) award recognizes a male WTS Columbus member who is a leader in the transportation industry and has contributed to the advancement of women in transportation. It is without question that John Gallagher is deserving of this recognition. His dedication to the WTS organization and their activities is clear. He encourages new employees to become active members in organizations, like WTS Columbus, to expand their network and assist in developing their technical knowledge and skills. John encourages women to participate in volunteer organizations, seek leadership roles, and get involved within the industry. John contributes to the advancement of women through mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Throughout his career, he has served on countless boards, committees, and programs. His passion for the industry and improving communities is contagious. Those who work with him are eager to keep the excitement going and contribute in any way they can. John is committed to supporting his staff and clients. This was evident when his team, firm owners, and previous mentees quickly offered recommendations for the Man of the Year Award. Their nominations highlighted John’s leadership abilities and how he encourages each and every one of them throughout their careers.

2019 WTS Columbus Member of the Year

The WTS Columbus Member of the Year award acknowledges a WTS Columbus member who has made extraordinary contributions toward the success of the organization. According to her fellow members, Kristin Studabaker is one of those members that organizations wish they had and are grateful when they are lucky enough to get one.  Kristin serves as the Secretary on the WTS Columbus Board, and contributes to the organization in many other ways. She is always willing to step in and help, no matter what needs done beyond her normal duties. Kristin championed the WTS Columbus Mentorship Program and helped make the first year a great success. She is active in many organizations and helps cross-promote events, membership, and community service.
