US 40 & SR 29 Roadway Improvement Construction Inspection -

This project involved numerous improvements to U.S. 40 and S.R. 29 and the development of a realigned roadway and roundabout at the intersection of the two routes. Carpenter Marty Transportation inspected the construction of the new utilities, new roadways, and earthwork. Carpenter Marty Transportation regularly coordinated with the contractor to diagnose and solve problems that occurred during construction. Our onsite inspector coordinated with the testing laboratory to assure materials were tested and passed. Other responsibilities included coordination with the engineer, approving field testing, writing up daily reports, attending meetings, paying for quantities, and verifying that all work adhered to ODOT specifications.
