- Piney Creek Bridge Replacement

Carpenter Marty Transportation completed the design, preparation of contract plans, and related documents for the replacement of the existing Piney Creek Bridge. The bridge carries US 19 over Piney Creek in Raleigh County. The project site is located 0.01 miles north of CR 19/42. The proposed structure is a single span steel curved beam bridge on integral abutments. The existing bridge abutments were left in place to avoid stream disturbance and provide scour protection. Carpenter Marty Transportation completed final hydraulic analysis of the existing stream conditions and approved span configuration. Piney Creek is in a FEMA Zone AE. Traffic will be maintained on a two-lane upstream temporary structure during construction. Carpenter Marty Transportation performed all bridge, roadway, right-of-way, maintenance of traffic, and environmental permitting services for this project.
