- 2018 Street Reconstruction Program

The City of Upper Arlington chose Carpenter Marty Transportation to prepare design plans for the reconstruction of 13 city streets in the largest program the City has ever undertaken. The majority of the streets were reconstructed with full depth pavement reclamation with an asphalt intermediate and surface course overlay, and the remaining utilized standard full depth pavement replacement. The project rebuilt various sections of each roadway including the replacement of curb and gutter, ADA-compliant curb ramps, driveways, sidewalks, pavement markings, traffic control, and minor drainage improvements. Carpenter Marty Transportation provided all existing conditions surveys, analysis and design, and assisted with construction administration and completion of as-built drawings at the end of construction. The project included the replacement of over 130 driveways which included designing roadway profiles that aligned the existing and proposed top of curb elevations to prevent negative impacts to the driveway profiles.
